Microinstant® Chromogenic Listeria Agar acc. Ottaviani & Agosti (ISO 11290)

We would like to announce the introduction of Scharlau's new chromogenic media for Listeria spp. and L. monocytogenes detection and enumeration, Microinstant® Chromogenic Listeria Agar, according to Ottaviani & Agosti formula and according to the official described methods in ISO 11290-1 and -2 for the detection and enumeration of this pathogen in food samples for human and animal consumption. 

Scharlau Microinstant® Chromogenic Listeria Agar is characterized by its high recuperation rates of Listeria spp. and fast L. monocytogenes detection.

Presumptive blue-green Listeria spp. colonies, with its transparent halo in case of L.monocytogenes, appear with good resultion in just 24h after inoculation, allowing the laboratories a quick determination of any possible contamination.

Scharlab offers this new chromogenic media in dehydrated and prepared forms to adapt to any laboratory needs.
